Liberia Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Morocco’s Territorial Integrity, Sovereignty Over Entire Territory, Including Sahara Region

The Republic of Liberia reiterated on Thursday in Rabat its unwavering position in favor of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco and its sovereignty over its entire territory, including the Sahara region.

This stance was expressed by Liberian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sara Beysolow Nyanti, following her talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita.

She also emphasized that Liberia, as a non-permanent member of the Security Council, will continue to work with Morocco and lend its support to the Kingdom within this UN body during the upcoming discussions scheduled for October 2026 at the UN Security Council.

The Liberian foreign minister further stated that Morocco and Liberia enjoy very close ties, highlighting the two countries’ commitment to carry forward this momentum under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Joseph Boakai.

The Liberian minister then conveyed her country’s commitment to expanding opportunities for Morocco-Liberia cooperation, particularly in the diplomatic, cultural, and economic spheres, in the interests of both countries and both peoples.
