Saint Lucia Reiterates Full Support for Morocco’s Sovereignty over Sahara, Expresses Great Appreciation for HM the King’s Vision for United & Active South-South Cooperation

Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Philip Joseph Pierre reiterated on Thursday in Rabat his country’s full support for Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara and expressed great appreciation for the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI for a united and active South-South cooperation.

Speaking in a statement to the press after talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita, the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia reiterated his support for the Moroccan Autonomy Plan as the only credible, serious and realistic solution to definitely resolve the regional dispute over Moroccan Sahara.

He also underlined the deep-rooted relations and friendship between Saint Lucia and Morocco, expressing the wish to see these ties between the two countries further strengthened, as part of South-South cooperation.

Joseph Pierre also welcomed the scholarships granted by Morocco to students from his country.

During their meeting, Bourita and Joseph Pierre discussed bolstering bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and Saint Lucia, as well as issues of common interest.
