Leaders of the Sahrawi tribes in the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region hailed the UN historic Resolution 2797, paying tribute to the wise and visionary diplomacy led by HM King Mohammed VI.
In a statement, they emphasized that the Security Council resolution on the Moroccan Sahara consolidates the full legitimacy of Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara and once again confirms the failure of all illusory maneuvers directed against the Kingdom’s position.”
They described the achievement as “a resounding victory upholding the Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara, with neither winner or loser, while opening new prospects for good neighborliness and the strengthening of fraternal ties.”
The leaders of the Sahrawi tribes also indicated that this dynamic is part of the policy of the outstretched hand that Morocco—its King and people—has consistently advocated, driven by a conviction in the unity of destiny and by a sincere will to promote security, stability, and prosperity throughout the region.
Convinced of the fairness of the national cause, they reaffirmed their “unconditional attachment” to Morocco’s territorial integrity and to the defense of the Kingdom’s sovereignty over the Sahara.
On a separate note, they called upon their brothers and cousins in the Tindouf camps to return to the motherland and to contribute to the development of the southern provinces and to the building of a united, strong, and prosperous Morocco under the wise leadership of HM the King.
