Members of a British parliamentary delegation, chaired by the Chairperson of the UK-Morocco Parliamentary Friendship Group, Ms.Heather Wheeler, learned about development dynamics in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Region during their visit to Morocco on April 12 and 13. They held a series of meetings with regional officials and paid field visits to better explore the potential and infrastructure of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Region in various socio-economic sectors.
They also attended presentations on the investment potential in the Region and the huge progress made in various productive sectors, including structuring projects that fall under the New Development Model for the Southern Provinces launched by HM King Mohammed VI in 2015, making the Region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab a real hub for West Africa.
In addition, both Moroccan and British parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between British and local companies to promote the Region’s products, help exporters access the British market and develop a range of sectors, namely renewable energy and marine fishing.
